i’m on a website for an asexual awareness organization that marched in a pride parade recently and their “asexuality 101″ literally refuses to ever explain what sexual attraction means. they just say this and start defining “aesthetic attraction” and “platonic attraction” instead:

If anyone has any questions, I can tell you what it means to me at least. Its easy to explain what something is, but to explain a lack of it is always hard.

Gay men don’t describe their sexuality as a lack of attraction to women, they describe it for what it is, an attraction to men.
