Peoples talk a lot about how much Lillie’s mother is an abusive mother etc… but nobody talks about how abusives where the James’ parents. They were abominable, manipulative, denigrating their son, forcing him to marry a dominatrix…, and James’mother was so devious that she threw her son’s precious bottle caps and put the empty cookie box back in place, exactly where he had hidden it.
(They did not respect his private secrets too)
But despite all the psychological pain they inflicted on him…
Everytime I see this image of the torture (bondage) equipment I do not dare to imagine what he had to endure. It’s just completely crazy and unhealthy.
