Hey mom, I was reading this awful book with a really good premise and decided to rewrite it. The problem is its a dark topic. I don’t want to write something that would make people look at me funny for enjoying the premise.

Pen name. You’d never get the personal accolades in quite the same way if it ever became a success, but at least you wouldn’t be targeted by the people who think exploring an idea through fiction is the same thing as endorsing it.
