You can also pronounce it like this “Low-ahn”, real quick.

It’s the name of the royal bird standing alongside with the Phoenix in Asian tradition (ex: Chinese, Vietnamese)

I was kind of pronouncing it Lo-anne, which is at least closer.  Thanks!
