So I have some very rough sketches of some Shadow spells I would want Deyaenus to eventually trigger and use if events ever lead up to it. But hey! These are just personal spells of his for RP, I guess?

The first one is Eldritch

Literally healing an enemy to death, the spell finds any sort of physical damage on the body (cuts and wounds) and triggers a violent, forced healing that bursts over into tumorous growths that eventually overtake and consume the entire body.

The second is Assisted

We’ve all had bad days. Sometimes, those bad days are really bad and we just barely make it through them. This spell forces into those bad days, into those bad thoughts, and overwhelms the mind with them – despair and gloom, sadness, depression… What’s the point of going on? It’s best to just let go.

This spell forces the target to turn on themselves, taking self-harm to the extreme.

More thoughts

Deyaenus is explaining a bit what this sort of “corruption” is really to him. And, in a way, I want to project that the idea is less “a corruptive outside source” and more “comes from within”. It’s easy to be corrupted when an evil from out of you is forcing you against your will, it’s harder to deal when that is inside you all along.

These gruesome growths and tentacles aren’t really anything new. They’ve always been there, but inside, silent to the outside world though deafening to those who deal with it from within. It is the ugly thoughts, the bad days, the whispers that accompany your every word and decision and tear you down little by little with second-guesses and fears  – except the Old Gods would just attach themselves to those thoughts and give it a physical form. And it’s just as grotesque outside as they are inside, those thoughts are still ugly and gnarled and THERE. It’s always been there, it’s always been real. Only difference, they can be seen now.
