Afghan Hounds vs. Borzoi

Of the most notable differences, Afghans typically have extraordinarily long coats with relatively naked tails, while borzoi don’t have quite as much coat (especially on the legs) with long, silky tails. Afghans also have much larger ears, and long hair growing on the top of their heads (looks like a wig) while borzoi have tiny ears and short hair on the top of their heads. Borzoi are also the larger of the two breeds!

Vechnost Gelios Solnechny Triumf – “Sunny”

This dog gave me goosebumps like hardly any Afghan before and I couldn’t take my eyes of him. These are photos of him in the ring, but the next day I captured him being gorgeous on the beach as well. He lives in Russia. 

He has famous Am Multi Ch Pahlavi Puttin’ on the Ritz – “Taco” in his pedigree and even after so many generations you can still see the family resemblance
