They’re deactivated now and I really hope they are okay, but my nihilism is telling me something else. 😦

nah i just changed urls a few times. i came out and transitioned, graduated college, and got an amazing girlfriend who lights up my life. i had to delete the queued update to this post that said 8400 days for my 23rd birthday because i’m in a really good place right now.

to everyone struggling: it really does get better.

A wizard and his apprentice.

The wizard realized that it was finally time to take on an assistant to help him with his practice. Someone to pass down his arcane secrets after he is gone. Someone with a youthful perspective on the world, not saddled with the weight of experience. Most importantly, someone to do the heavy lifting. He won’t be around forever, after all – one backfired spell and his centuries of work would be lost. The incident with the elixir of youth had been an unpleasant reminder of his own fallibility. True, it had worked as intended, but he had somewhat underestimated its potency.

But why choose an apprentice with an eyepatch?

Easy. He figured the loss of one eye would make him more cautious about losing the other. Great wizards have had their careers destroyed by foolishly foregoing safety goggles while brewing noxious potions.

True. But also should he lose the other eye after learning enough he might forgo caution and dabble in other forms of ‘seeing’.

Perhaps, but then he will be under the tutelage of a great wizard who can oversee his dabbling. 

And anyway, the eyepatch makes him look tougher, which partially compensates for his mild temperament. Young people these days are such sensitive snowflakes.

The Tubertuff Boys

It’s a shit name and I’m sorry but it fit the Powerpuff Girls/Rowdyruff Boys theme

For those of you who don’t know, one of my many goals for 2018 is to work on something I’ve wanted to improve on for a long time: drawing and creating fan art. I’m really limited in my abilities so I’m trying to play to my strengths. I seem to be okay at animated and cartoon styles.

I saw someone refer to Mark, Jack, and Ethan as The Powerpuff Girls because of their respective colors, so I came up with this idea and I’m really sorry if it’s been done before.

I was proud of this at first (despite it taking me three days to do something most people could do in mere hours), until I started noticing all the flaws. They’re glaring to me and I’ll be honestly shocked if they’re not to you as well. Unfortunately, I’m not wealthy enough, skilled enough, or have a good enough computer to use a drawing tablet. So here I go: making art with paper and pencils, taking photos, and uploading it that way because I don’t have a scanner either. This makes it look even worse.

Anyway, I disagree with people who tell me “draw for yourself and no one else”. I don’t see why I can’t do both. I’m drawing because it’s something I want to get better at, why can’t I do that by making fan art for people I love, appreciate, and respect?
