For the past nine months, I’ve been a part of the Supernatural fandom (as in, actively looking at fics, metas, fanart, headcanons, ect) and for the majority I have been enlightened and uplifted.  But there’s another side to this fandom that is not fucking okay and must be cut out at all costs.  @eliciadonze is a breathtaking digital artist who does photorealistic/magic realism/portraits with her own fantastic twist.  Since the show started, now over a decade, she has received threats of rape/pro-suicide/everything horrible you can think of.  Almost a week ago, she posted all the hate she got in her anon inbox for one day and it was absolutely horrifying.  I cannot understand how there are people in this fandom so screwed up that they can do this to another human being, much less a talented and strong one (though sadly those are the reasons they are doing so).

This must end.

Yes, the J2M con is going on right now.  Yes, it’s almost the season 13 finale.  We are all excited and happy.  But we cannot stand by while someone is abused and bullied.  The show that we all love is based on family and fighting for what is right no matter what.  And yet.  And yet, this amazing artist and person has been, and continues to be, attacked from people who we like to call #SPNFamily.  We are not a family until this stops.  We are not a good fandom until this stops.  Yes there are good, amazing parts of our fandom, but that does not take away the horror that is happening within our fandom this very second. Yelling “but we’re not all bad” does not solve the problem, but in fact feeds it.

Please spread the word.

As members of this fandom, it is above all our job to get rid of this beyond-sickening disease within us.
