I find it sorta funny that they bring Gabe back literally on the day I decide to take the SPN stuff off my tumblr and just sort of…. step away from the fandom. 

Truthfully, all I could think was ‘I wonder how they’re gonna fuck this up?’ and that says all it really needs to. 

Honestly I’ve got friends and a girlfriend yelling about it and freaking out and I’m glad they’re happy but…

It’s awesome Rich is still kicking and doing the thing (and I find it hilarious that my dash is freaking out of the possibility of dark! pagan! Gabriel when I’ve RPed that for years, and no one would touch the concept with a barge pole, but w/e *saltyaf*) and it’s awesome that people still love Gabriel. The shithead is absolutely still my favorite.

But… I think I’ll continue to stick to fanfic. At least then I can nope out on shitty writing. 

I’m not even fond of where the story has been taken, so while I appreciate the fresh air it will breathe into a partially stagnating set of ships…. Eehhhhhh

You know me, I’m a great big fan of all four archangels. The current story-line just has me sitting here making 😐 faces a lot. 

I don’t even know what’s going on except we have the anti Christ and some sort of alternate universe?

Er. A la the glory of my dash:

 Offbrand Cas opened a portal to an alternate universe or some such, Mary and Lucifer got sucked in. Cas died. 

Dean was very depressed and borderline suicidal about Cas, but Sam was convinced it was all about losing Mary again (and seemed to think booze and a boobie bar would fix everything…)

Cas annoyed himself back to life (no joke) and then wandered off, and Dean was magically better in an instant, but now Sam is super depressed and hiding his Manpains about never knowing Mary. Somewhere along the way, the boys decide Offbrand Cas is theirs, because fuck Lucifer? IDK. There was a backdoor for Wayward Daughters somewhere in here, too, but they killed the (probably) queer brown girl before they even had a show. Second verse, same as the first, I guess? But apparently she was the tool to rescue Mary and Lucifer, so it’s all good? 

Evil Colonel Sanders begins impersonating Cas on the phone, because Lucifer has him imprisoned somewhere, IDK? He wasn’t on screen for a damn long time, and suddenly he’s behind bars.

¯_(ツ)_/¯  It’s Supernatural. 

Now we magically have Ketch again? And Daneel is suddenly an angel, too, because why not? But not just any angel, of course. She’s Anael. And apparently Lucifer is, like, feeding off her Grace, I think? And suddenly Evil Colonel Sanders has been holding Gabriel hostage all this time! 

It really is beginning to read like a really shitty fanfic, IMO, full of character worship, bad characterization, and a whole pile of self insert Mary/Gary Sues.

I’ve seen it stated that they’re trying to set Claire up to mirror Sam and Dean, via loosing Kaia, and that Kaia will obviously be back (and there was a snippet of dark!Kaia from the Bad Place, so…IDK. The convoluted shit and already stuffing the new fridge made me lose interest).

All I see is the same bad shit SPN does, behind a thin-ass veil of feminism. 

And all they want is more fan money at cons and by watching the show. Not only with that, but with bringing back fan favorites like Gabriel. Blugh.
